Abstract: In Philadelphia, Asian Americans are significantly more likely than White, Black, or Hispanic individuals to have metastatic disease at lung cancer diagnosis. However, the current US Preventive Services Task Force recommendation for lung cancer screening eligibility may contribute to under-screening of Asian American populations. By analyzing electronic health record data, this presentation will give background on and identify smoking-related risk factors to improve lung cancer screening efficiency for Asian Americans. The findings of this project seek to improve equitable screening for Asian Americans by improving early detection of lung cancer.
