GASAM writing retreat on Saturday, November 12th from 10am-2pm.

Please RSVP: https://tinyurl.com/GASAMRetreat

Need to make progress on your current writing project? Join our half-day writing retreat! We will share our writing goals and then work through structured time to write. Brunch and coffee for in-person attendees will be provided courtesy of the Asian American Studies program. This event will be hybrid; you can join on Zoom too!

Attendance from 10am-1pm is mandatory so that we can build a focused, productive community with few distractions. Please plan to arrive on time and start together. After brunch, you are welcome to stay through 2pm to share your work with others for constructive feedback.

Please remember to bring your own materials and devices (especially chargers, extension cords, headphones/earbuds).

Who is this retreat open to?

Our writing retreat is open to all graduate/professional masters and doctoral students across the university working on a writing project related to Asian Americans. You can come to the retreat to work on any writing project—a course paper, a part of your thesis or dissertation, or a grant proposal. Please commit to attending 10am-1pm. We look forward to meeting each other and connecting during breaks and lunch!
