Raquel Dang is the owner and chef of Baby’s Kusina and Market, a modern Filipino restaurant opening soon in the Brewerytown neighborhood of Philadelphia. Despite not having a traditional culinary background, Raquel and her husband ran a successful pop-up and supper club for five years called Tita Emmie's which has been featured in both print and TV. Prior to pursuing her dream of opening a restaurant, Raquel worked in consulting and in the life sciences industry for over a decade. She is active in the community and co-founded the non-profit Philly Solidarity in 2021 with the mission of empowering the AAPI community in Philadelphia while also building solidarity across communities of color.  Raquel hopes to continue honoring her culture and heritage through the restaurant while also giving back.
