A Class of 2004 graduate from the College and the School of Engineering and Applied Sciences, Dana is currently Associate Professor of Sociology at California State University, Stanislaus after receiving his doctorate in Sociology from the University of California, Irvine (UCI) and master’s degree in Asian American Studies from San Francisco State University. Dana's recent publications include a co-edited anthology, Japanese American Millennials: Rethinking Generation, Community, and Diversity (Temple University Press 2019) with Dr. Michael Omi and Jeffrey Yamashita and his forthcoming book is titled Japanese Americans and the Racial Uniform: Citizenship, Belonging, and the Limits of Assimilation (New York University Press, Spring 2023).
