Course Description:
Asian American Activism and Organizing provides an in-depth exploration of the history of activism and organizing within the Asian American community. The course will examine how Asian American activism and organizing overlaps with and connects to other movements while exploring the complexities of the Asian American identity The course is organized to examine various time periods starting from the 1940s to the Civil Rights Era to recent times. Throughout the course, we will examine the conditions that led to why movements formed and the various ways Asian American communities engaged in activism and organizing.

Tuesdays and Thursdays from 1:30pm-3pm in Williams Hall 321
