Vernon Wells is a senior from Maine majoring in Anthropology and Sociology with a minor in Asian American Studies. Vernon is a current Mellon Mays Undergraduate Fellow and 2022-2023 ASAM Fellow, also holding positions in the Southeast Asia Working Group, Penn Philippine Association, and Queer People of Color. Their research concerns the roles of Indigenous Filipinos and other collaborating/conflicting actors in the construction of ancestral domain claims and Indigenous material conditions. In their free time, Vernon enjoys the beach, producing music, and long idyllic walks.
