Claire Nguyễn graduated from Penn in 2022 with a B.A. in History and minors in Asian American Studies and English. They now work as the Community Defense and Communications Coordinator at VietLead, a grassroots organization based in Philadelphia and South Jersey that supports the local Southeast Asian refugee community. In their role, they support formerly incarcerated Southeast Asian Pennsylvanians who have been deported or face deportation due to former criminal convictions. She looks forward to carrying forward both the lessons that she learned as a former Co-Chair of the ASAM Undergraduate Advisory Board and her research that she began as an ASAM Fellow in her future endeavors.
