ASAM Citizenship Series presents Corruption, Caravans and Cages—The latest in US Asylum Law. Join us for free lunch and conversation and hear about updates in US asylum law: reasons that people leave their country, - corruption, persecution; how they leave – along or in a group caravans; and how they are detained and deported from the US.  The talk will be led by Adam Garnick, Penn Law 2nd year student, and Fernando Chang-Muy, Lecturer in Law. They will talk about their efforts to raise awareness about US asylum policy in Honduras during the summer as well as how detention and deportation impact the Asian American community.
