This panel will discuss the recent triumphs of the Asian American and Pacific Islander American community with regards to onscreen representation on major network television shows (Fresh off the Boat, Selfie, Community, The Mindy Project, The Walking Dead) along with more recent problematic representations. Panelists include Peter Shinkoda (Daredevil, Falling Skies, I, Robot, Supernatural), University of Delaware professor Dr. Peter X Feng, independent filmmaker Kar Yin Tham, and Penn professor Dr. Jacqui Sadashige. The panel will be moderated by NBC10 news anchor Denise Nakano.
