Asif Agha

Professor & Chair of Anthropology

Dr. Agha has been teaching at Penn since 1998 in the fields of Anthropology, Linguistics, Folklore, South Asia Studies, and The Lauder Program in International Studies. Before coming to Penn, Agha received his PhD from the University of Chicago. During his time here, Agha has been appointed Faculty Master of Hill College House, and Consulting Curator of the Asian section of the University Museum. Additional interests include language and social relations with a focus in Sino-Tibetan and Indo-Aryan linguistics.
