Josephine Park

Josephine Park received her BA from Amherst College and her PhD from UC Berkeley. She specializes in twentieth-century American literature and culture, with an emphasis on Asian American literature. She is currently working on a study that uncovers the modernist roots of avant-garde Asian American poetry, and her research tracks American fascination with the Far East in poetry from the modernist era to the present. Her teaching interests include poetry and poetics, modernism, minority literature, theories of subject formation, and issues of immigration and transnationalism.
