The new hires and leadership spark hope for faculty after fears of the program's survival at Penn, ASAM program faculty said.
Hardeep Dhillon, Bakirathi Mani, and Tahseen Shams will join the University in 2023 as core faculty members of the ASAM program. Penn professor of English David Eng now serves as the program's faculty director alongside ASAM Co-Director and professor Fariha Khan this fall semester.
