Janan Dave and Salina Lee win Dr. Rosane Rocher Prize for Best Undergraduate Essay in Asian American Studies

Seniors Janan Dave and Salina Lee win the Dr. Rosane Rocher Prize for Best Undergraduate Essay in Asian American Studies.

The ASAM Faculty Steering Committee reviewed all the submissions carefully and Dave's "To Have a Daughter is Like Watering Your Neighbor's Garden: A Study of Migration and Gender Perceptions in South Asians in Philadelphia" and Lee's "The Lost Korea: A Subtle Embodiment of American Exceptionalism" were selected as the winners for the 2014 Dr. Rosane Rocher Prize.
