Asian American Studies (ASAM) Colloquium
*** CALL FOR ABSTRACTS ***
The ASAM Colloquium Series features a monthly presentation on
academic research on Asian Americans and/or the Asian diaspora in
various international contexts. Faculty, graduate students and
advanced undergraduate students in any Humanities and Social Science
fields (including but not limited to Literature, Sociology, History,
Education, and Anthropology) are invited to present their work
(completed or in progress) followed by comments from a discussant and
questions from participants. This interdisciplinary forum is designed
to foster the growth of intellectual community for scholars of Asian
American Studies at University of Pennsylvania and in the
Philadelphia area.
If you are interested in presenting at the ASAM Colloquium Series in
Fall 2003 or Spring 2004, please send a one-page abstract to:
colloqplan@dolphin.upenn.edu. Abstracts received BY SEPTEMBER 15 will
be considered for the first round of review, but abstracts will be
accepted on a rolling basis.

The ASAM Colloquium Series is co-sponsored by University of
Pennsylvania Asian American Studies Program (ASAM), Graduate
Association for Asian American Students & Studies (GAASAM), and Pan
Asian American Community House (PAACH). All events take place at the
Fireside Lounge, 2nd Floor of the ARCH, 3601 Locust Walk, University
of Pennsylvania (entrance on 36th Street). For more details, please
